How do I manage my infertility at work?
Infertility and fertility struggles impacts every aspect of your life, and we spend so much time at work. So it is natural that it will affect your workday at times as well. I've had it where I've been all consumed with work to try and almost forget what I was going through at home and other times where I wasn't really present with my work because I was worrying too much about what was going on outside of it. So for me, the true moment in which I started to be able to manage it better during work time was when I finally opened up to my employers, which was after a year and a half of hiding it and hiding my appointments with different types of leave, such as annual leave or sick leave. So by opening up and saying sometimes that I need to attend this appointment, I might be a bit later in on this day. It just helped manage the whole situation so much better. And it is literally like a weight coming off your shoulders by sharing that and being supported.
